Joan of Arc was born a peasant girl born in eastern France and claimed divine guidance for France's victory in the Hundred Years' War. She had a brilliant mind for battle yet she was tried, convicted and burned at the stake. After her death she was pronounced innocent and later beatified. The Women's Joan of Arc Costume is a dramatic representation of the way Joan of Arc dressed for battle. The costume features a full length gown with fabric that is styled to look like armor and chainmail. There is a cross printed on the bodice and the skirt is red velveteen.
