On Saturday Night Live in the late 70's there was a character named Samurai Futaba, played by the legendary John Belushi. He was an honorable samurai who spoke in mock Japanese and wielded a samurai sword. Each skit put him in jobs that are completely bizarre for a Samurai, such as a deli or a dry cleaners. He did his job although he terrified the costumers. If anyone was unhappy with his job he would attempt to do the honorable Samurai think and stab himself with his katana. The Men's Saturday Night Live Samurai Futaba Costume features a kimono robe, a striped waistband and a samurai wig.
